| KENA PROPERTY, B.C. Sultan Minerals Inc. (SUL-cdnx) is pleased to announce the results of a prospecting program over recently acquired claims to the south of its original Kena Property located near Nelson in southeastern British Columbia. Several old pits, adits, and other workings were found in three areas during a late season prospecting program (see attached map). Three historical workings, the Three Friends, Euphrates and Gold Cup, were located and sampled. These showings are situated 6.5, 8.1 and 12.6 kilometres, respectively, southeast of the new discovery referred to as the Gold Mountain Zone (See News Releases dated November 7, 2000 and December 8, 2000). The following table shows results of several grab samples collected from these three showings. SAMPLE NO. SHOWING Au (g/t) Ag (g/t) SK-1 Three Friends 0.74 1.0 EH-1 Euphrates 1.50 0.7 EH-3 Euphrates 0.74 7.7 EH-4 Euphrates 0.76 4.8 EH-5 Euphrates 9.82 78.7 GC-1 Gold Cup 5.54 14.6 GC-3 Gold Cup 16.72 84.0 The Gold Cup and Three Friends showings lie within the favourable Silver King Porphyry intrusive body which hosts the recently discovered Gold Mountain Zone. The Euphrates showing lies along an altered shear structure within the adjacent Elise Volcanic package. These three showings, together with the previously announced South Gold Zone, Kena Copper zone, Kena Gold Zone, Shaft Gold Zone and the Cat Showing define a 12,000 metre long gold and copper enriched belt. The gold assays obtained from the three new showings are on average higher than those obtained from prospecting samples that lead to the discovery of the Gold Mountain Zone (refer to News Release of November 1, 2000). The results are therefore considered to be significant and suggest that important intrusive related gold mineralization may occur at several locations along the Silver King Porphyry body. In 2001, an expanded exploration program consisting of geochemical sampling and geological mapping is planned for the Kena property. A.G. Troup, P.Eng.
