Position: President and CEO
Mr. Troup has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Apex Resources Inc. since June 1997 and has been a Director of the Company since June 1995. Mr. Troup has also served as Vice President, Exploration and Director of Cream Minerals Ltd. since 1987, Vice President, Exploration of Emgold Mining Corporation from September 1993 to June 2005 and Vice President, Exploration of ValGold Resources Ltd. from June 1996 to January 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Troup was President of Archean Engineering Ltd., a firm offering project management and mineral exploration services, from 1981 through to 1996.
Mr. Troup graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with a M.Sc. in Geology. He has over 30 years experience in the mining industry in North America, Southeast Asia and North Africa working for Rio Algom, Teck Corporation, Canada Nickel Corporation and Placer Dome Canada Limited, and the Geological Survey of Canada.
|Robin Merrifield, CA (S.A.)|
Mr. Merrifield has 40 years of international experience as a chartered accountant to the mining industry. He was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Uranium One Inc. Mr. Merrifield obtained his CA while working for Deloittes in Cape Town, South Africa. He has also previously worked for ten years as Financial Controller for a large nickel/copper mining complex controlled by Anglo-American Corporation, Assistant Vice President of Finance for one of Robert Friedland's companies and as Controller for Cameco Corporation.
|Linda Dandy, P.Geo.|
Ms. Dandy is a graduate of the University of British Columbia. She is a Professional Geoscientist and has been involved in all aspects of mineral exploration and development for over 30 years. During this time, she has worked as a consultant to major mining companies, junior resource companies and the British Columbia Ministry of Mines. The majority of her career to date has consisted of precious metal exploration in the North American Cordillera, although she has international experience through a broad spectrum of deposit types. Ms. Dandy was integral in the new discovery of the Gold Mountain Zone (gold porphyry) on Apex's Kena Property. Another highlight includes exploration, development and mine permitting of the Yellowjacket Gold Mine in northern BC.
|Ralph Gonzalez, M.Sc., P.Eng., P.Geo.|
Mr. Gonzalez has a long and distinguished career in exploration in over 30
countries in North, Central, and South America, Central and Eastern Asia and
in Africa. During his career of more than 40 years, he has mixed worldwide
mineral exploration and resource evaluation with several years of mineral
production and management; in this business, this mixture of exploration and
production is considered to be very rare.
Mr. Gonzalez holds a MSc degree in geology from the University of New
Mexico, U.S.A. and is a registered Life Member as a professional engineer in
Manitoba and as a professional geologist in British Columbia.
In addition, he sits on the Advisory Board with the New Mexico Institute of
Mining and Technology in Socorro, New Mexico and is an active mentor for
students in the School of Mineral Engineering and the Department of Geology
and Environmental Sciences.
