The Kena Gold-Copper-Silver Property is located 60 kilometres northeast of the historic Rossland Mining Camp (British Columbia's second largest gold camp). The 8,000 hectare property includes several historic mines and has a measured and indicated resource of 381,000ounces of gold at a grade of 1.0 g/t and an additional inferred resource of 389,000 ounces at the same grade, using a cutoff grade of 0.50 g/t gold (NI43-101 Compliant). The mineralization consists of both narrow and very high-grade gold veins and large zones of low-grade mineralization that have potential for bulk tonnage porphyry style gold deposits.
The presently defined gold resource occurs along a 3.0 km long section of an 8.0 km long gold soil anomaly. Diamond drilling and surface exploration completed n 2007 shows there is potential to significantly expand the gold resource by diamond drilling along strike and beneath the existing deposit. A structural mapping program conducted by Dr. Jim Oliver in 2009 identifies strong new exploration targets on the property. Dr. Oliver's conclusion states "Kena is a very significant and likely undervalued gold-copper occurrence."
The property is home to several historic gold and silver mines and has excellent access to highways, water, power and an educated workforce. To date, over 16,500 meters have been drilled in over 116 drill holes with exploration ongoing.
